Wednesday Stamper challenge

This challenge was to use at least one rubber stamp and to include the word 'ART' in your project - so I have made this card using a text image stamped onto glossy card and brayered over with dye ink. The large flower is chipboard which I inked and stamped, and then coated with clear UTEE.

Pretty & Feminine...

That's the challenge on the Tag You're It! blog, so it was a great excuse to use some of my favourite colours! The stamp is by Elusive Images. I was disappointed though - I have just bought one of the StayzOn white (opaque) inkpads and used it to stamp over the background card. However, it hardly shows at all and you can't see it in the scan!

Masked ATCs

A new challenge this week from Leonie to make an ATC with a masking technique. I have made two - the first one uses the traditional method of masking an area off and stamping & adding colour. Leonie used a peel-off as a mask on her example and then painted over it. I wondered how this would work with alcohol inks instead of paint... so I had a go! It worked reasonably well, although it was difficult to remove the peel-off afterwards. I'm not sure if this was because I used glossy card, or if the alcohol dissolved the 'stickiness' on the peel-off?

Sea Moos!

This week's Make a Moo or Two challenge theme is Beach & Sea - here are my efforts! I've gone for a simple approach this week.

Dark hair

I made this ATC for this week's challenge on My Time to Craft blog - the theme was 'Dark Hair'. I used a printed paper for the background and then used two of my favourite stamps: Can hear by Paperbag Studios and Ornamental collage by Stampers Anonymous, and yet another Grungeboard flourish!! I seem to have used pink and brown a lot recently.

This week's theme for the Inchybyinch challenge is faces. Here are a couple from me!

Black and Gold Tag

A dramatic theme this week of black and gold by Tag You're It! . I have kept to the theme but added a few red accents as well. I have used stamps by Tanda, but for a complete change I have not used any Distress Inks on this tag!
