A little house

'House' is the theme by Small world of inchies this week. I decided to make three, making up the roof, house and garden!

Asian Moos

This week's challenge on the Make a Moo or Two blog is Asian. I have used a couple of images by Joanna Sheen together with a bit of stamping and some torn paper. The backgrounds were painted with Radiant Pearls.

Little things

An ATC for Florrie's Weekly Challenge on Craft Swap Forum where we had to use two colours - and we couldn't use black & white!

Orange and yellow

Another sun, this time for the 4x4 Friday challenge - orange and yellow. The background was made with watercolour paints, and I created the main sun image by pressing the stamp into funky foam that I had heated first. When it cooled I dry brushed gold paint over it and then added a little glitter glue.

Good morning sunshine

The Wednesday Stamper challenge this week was 'Hello sunshine' and so here is my entry! I used a mixture of stamping with resist ink onto glossy cardstock, brayering over with dye inks and then over stamping with the same inks. I was trying to achieve the hazy look of the sun rising very early in the morning. I stamped the sun and the wording with purple StayzOn, stamped the sun again onto yellow card, cut out the face and glued it over the original, then added Ranger Sepia Accents. The sun stamp is by Viva LasVegastamps, the flower flourish and text stamps by Hero Arts.

Pretty paper...

... that was Leonie 's Fab Friday challenge, to make an ATC using only paper - no stamping, peel-offs, etc allowed. For this ATC I used some lovely embossed floral paper by K & Co for the background, then cut some other elements from the same sheet and decoupaged them.

An Inchy Alphabet

I came across these inchies the other day - I made them ages ago for a challenge on Craft Swap Forum. We had to make a series of inchies making up the letters of the alphabet. If you look closely you will see that I made one inchy to represent two letters - a word plus an image. They were great fun to make and a great idea for a challenge! My favourite one is the M and N - a mouse that has nibbled bits out of the card. I didn't worry about the 'four eyes' offending anyone as I wear specs myself! LOL

Let them eat cake!

These inchies were made for the Small world of inchies challenge: CELEBRATE The cakes were stamped onto shrink plastic and then shrunk!

Black & White Inchy

Black and white was the theme this week on the Inchybyinch challenge blog.

Pocket Tag

This week's challenge by Tag You're It! was to make a tag in a pocket. Here is my effort - a card incorporating a pocket with a tag. I have used a stamp by Stampin' Up on the front and a Tim Holtz stamp on the tag.

Summer Moo

Another Moo, this time the theme is SUMMER on the Make a Moo or Two blog.

Twinchies

The Wednesday Stamper challenge this week is to make Twinchies - they are like inchies only two inches square. The stamps used here are from the Squiggly Ink range by Paper Artsy.

Colour Challenge Tag

The challenge on Tag You're It! blog this week is to use the colours Olive, Aubergine and Ivory on your tag. I've gone for an Oriental theme, mainly because I wanted to use this lovely DCWV Far East cardstock and chipboard sticker which were in the perfect colours! Unfortunately the colour of the cardstock hasn't scanned very well - it is a lot more olive green than it appears.

Inchies

Two inchies for two challenges this week! The one on the left is for the Small world of inchies challenge theme: Hearts. The other one is for the Inchybyinch challenge in which we had to follow a designer's sketch.

Make a Moo or Two: Men

Here are my Moos for the challenge on Make a Moo or Two blog. I made these before I saw any of the others... honest! LOL

Sisters

The Wednesday Stamper challenge this week is sisters - a perfect excuse for me to use one of my favourite stamps by Paperbag Studios!

The cat and the canary

This skinny has been made for the My Time to Craft challenge - this week the theme is birds. The bird in a cage stamp is by Hero Arts and the cat is by Tanda Stamps.

Orange inchies

A couple more inchies, this time for the Small world of inchies challenge theme: orange.

Peg bag inchy

This week's challenge on the Inchybyinch blog is to be inspired by a Laura Ashley peg bag. I thought of LA clothes... flowery fabrics and lace. Just to make it a bit more authentic, I used paper for background, the dress bodice, flowers and butterfly all cut out of an old Laura Ashley catalogue! LOL

Tyger, tyger...

Here is a card made for the June The Artistic Stamper challenge - animals. The tiger is by Tanda Stamps, and I have used Tim Holtz's scratches on the side panel.

Monogram Tag

This is for the Tag You're It! challenge, to make a monogram tag. I decided to use B, partly for 'birds' but also so that I can use it for a birthday card for my friend Barbara! No stamps used on this one, but I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the background card, and the birds were courtesy of some free paper with a recent cardmaking magazine.

Chop and change

That was Leonie 's challenge this week - to make an ATC and then cut it up and reassemble it! I have had a go at two - the one on the right is a bit more planned, using a stamped background and an image by Paper Whimsy. The other one was just for fun... I dug out an old ATC that I had made for another challenge ages ago, cut it up randomly and then used the pieces like a mosaic on black card, then I added the two cute bees.

4 x 4 Numbers

This is my effort for this week's challenge theme on the 4x4 Friday blog - Numbers. I have used a variety of stamps, the main one of the boys on bikes is by Elusive Images.

Friday 6 June 2008

Cats in hats!

My moos for this week's Make a Moo or Two challenge on the theme of CATS. I decided these two are all dressed up for a night on the tiles! LOL

Thursday 5 June 2008

Brads and eyelets

A skinny made for two challenges: My Time to Craft theme this week is brads and eyelets, and the Wednesday Stamper challenge is eyelets. The background was made with chalk inks and a quick spritz of Glimmer Mist. The stamps are by Art Journey and Paper Artsy.

Tuesday 3 June 2008

Fairy Inchy

Well here is my inchy for this week's challenge on Inchybyinch blog - theme is fairies!

Monday 2 June 2008

Jurassic card!

A bit different from my usual style (no rubber in sight), but I saw this scrapbook paper and chipboard stickers by BasicGrey and couldn't resist. I thought they would be ideal for a birthday card for my great nephew who will be four in October. I added the googly eyes for fun, and the number 4 to the boulder.

Anything Blue

Two challenges with one ATC! I've gone for economy of effort this weekend - the theme for Florrie's ATC challenge on CraftswapForum was 'Anything Blue', and the Fab Friday challenge on Leonie's blog was 'Tone on Tone' (only one colour can be used, but different tones). All the stamps are by Art Journey, the background and most of the stamping were made with chalk inks.

4x4 Architecture

This is my entry for the 4x4 Friday challenge. I have used a stamp by Crafty Individuals which I stamped onto the Distress Ink background, then it was partially stamped again onto acetate. I smeared some alcohol inks over the back of the acetate before fixing it to the base card with brads. The column is made from polymer clay and an art mould, with a little gold and copper acrylic paints rubbed over the surface.
