Anything Goes!

I've just made these two cards as part of an order for 10 birthday cards for a colleague at work. I'm about half-way through now... most of them are for family so need to be personalised. However, she also asked for a couple of general cards - one for a woman and one for a man. The card with flowers is also my entry for the Anything Goes challenge on Craft Swap Forum. On this one I have used Hero Arts Stamps: flower silhouette and butterfly. And the other card has the owl which was one of the free stamps with Craft Stamper. I've used another Hero Arts stamp on the centre panel behind the owl (Dandelion Frame), as well as the birthday greeting.

Santa card

This card is for the Anything Goes challenge on Craft Swap Forum - the theme is Santa. For the background I tried out an idea that was featured in the December Craft Stamper magazine, to create a Christmas 'masterboard'. I finally got to use one of the chipboard frames from Crafty Individuals at last - and I have embossed it with gold uttee. The picture of Santa is also from some Crafty Individuals paper.

Oriental skinny

I made this for the Anything Goes Challenge on Craft Swap Forum on an Oriental theme. I've used some of the new Whitewash card for the background which I cuttled and then sanded.

Anything Goes challenge: butterflies

As I mentioned, I've just been away for a week at a lovely place called Knuston Hall in Northamptonshire. It is a residential college which offers lots of short courses in a whole range of subjects, and I went for a week of calligraphy. While I was there, I did this piece for the Anything Goes Challenge on Craft Swap Forum on the theme of butterflies. I also made a new header for my blog too!

Easter card

I wanted to make a card for the Anything Goes challenge theme of Easter on Craftswap Forum, and also decided to try out the sketch challenge on the Craft Stamper blog. In the magazine blue and yellow were used and I went along with that colour scheme, partly because I rarely use yellow, but also because they are good colours for Easter. I've been 'cuttling' again - this time I used the Swiss Dots folder and Distress Ink in Faded Jeans to make one of the panels. On the other two I have used some of the new Tim Holtz stamps (Slight Alterations) to create some background colour and texture. The boy and eggs are stamps by Art Journey. And yes, I have used a peel-off! I have got a 'Happy Easter' stamp somewhere but could I heck find it!!!

Anything Goes challenge

Two skinnies made for the Anything Goes challenge on Craft Swap Forum - the theme is GREEN. On the skinny with the leaves I have used stamps by Basic Grey, and the dragonfly stamps are by Paper Artsy. I've used sticky back canvas for the embellishments on both of them - coloured with ink first and then stamped. The scan is a bit disappointing - it does not really show the backgrounds very well, they look rather dull where in fact they are quite shimmery.

Romantic card

Love and Romance is the theme on the Anything Goes challenge on Craft Swap Forum. As I have just received this ISC stamp plate I couldn't resist using it! I stamped the flower from the plate onto the white card and then ran it through the Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Anything Goes challenge

A card made for the Anything Goes Challenge on Craftswap Forum... to use black and white plus one other colour. I've gone for my favourite pink, surprise, surprise! I've used a stamp by Laura Ashley for the background and an Anna Griffin stencil for the embossed centrepiece.

Let it snow

Even though I do NOT like the real cold white stuff, I LOVE snowflake designs on paper, stamps, punches, brads... you name it, I've probably got it! So it was a pleasure to make this card for
Craft Swap Forum's Anything Goes Challenge on the theme of snow. For the background I've used some gorgeous shimmery paper called Snowflake Flurry by The Paper Company; the text stamp is by Stampendous; and the snowflake on the white circle is one of Anita's Dimensions stickers. There are two circles fixed together with a brad, and the top one swings upwards to reveal the greeting underneath.
