... YELLOW YULE! I was trying to find some inspiration for this week's Alphabet Challenge Blog letter of Y - came up with the obvious, yellow, and then I thought of Yule. So I thought it would be interesting to try and make a Christmas card in shades of yellow - not the most traditional of seasonal colours! But I was quite pleased with the result.

Ready-Steady-STAMP! week 6
I decided to make something different to a card this time! I've used some corrugated card from a box, ripped some of the covering paper off to reveal the 'corrugations', then using a Tim Holtz mask I sprayed it with Glimmermist. I felt it was a bit too dark, so added some white acrylic paint towards the bottom to lighten the piece a little. The ornate B stamp is by Stampers Anonymous.

X for...
XMAS. Sorry, I couldn't come up with anything more original for X in the Alphabet Challenge Blog! This card is called a 'Joy Fold' - it's really 2 cards in one, with a smaller card added to the base card but with the fold on the right hand side. The background papers are by Crafty Individuals and the stamp is by Paperbag Studios.

Inchies - two weeks worth!
I missed last week's challenge on the Inchybyinch blog because I was on holiday, so I have made one this week - it is on the theme 'Stitches'. The other one is for the current challenge - Asia, and it was a good opportunity to use the free stamp with this month's edition of Craft Stamper magazine.

Words ATC
It seems ages since I made an ATC! This is one that I've just done for the monthly Florrie's ATC Challenge over on Craft Swap Forum, on the theme of words. The stamp of the woman is by Art Journey and text stamp by Paper Artsy. I couldn't resist using a new 'spiral bound' punch I've just bought too!

Birdy moos
Some calligraphy
I've been away for a lovely week of calligraphy at Knuston Hall in Northamptonshire again. I had a wonderfully relaxing week and managed to complete several projects. This time we were doing the calligraphy hand called 'Legende' which is quite unusual. Most of my work is too big to scan, but here is one small piece I did. The quote is written in watercolour and I sponged watercolours on the left hand side and then added some gold leaf.
Ready-Steady-STAMP! week 4
Here is my entry for the fourth challenge by Ready-Steady-STAMP! I have used both a Tim Holtz mask and a stamp here, with scalloped circles in canvas for the flower. I had to rely on Glossy Accents to make the 'rain drops' around the clock.
