What a relief after all the Christmas makings.... to make something else! I decided to try out Sue Roddis' faux metal technique - emboss silver mirror card in a Cuttlebug folder and then rub black acrylic paint over, wiping off the excess. I think it does look like tarnished metal, although it has come out very blue in the scan. The bird (Tim Holtz) is also stamped on silver card, and the quote stamp is by Crafty Individuals.

RSS Challenge week 12
It is the final part of the Christmas banner this time on Ready-Steady-STAMP! . I've used background paper by Crafty Individuals again, and the Santa face is a stamp by Rubber Stampede.

Card from scraps
The inspiration for this card came from the latest edition of Craft Stamper - making cards with scraps of paper you have left over. I used various strips and pieces of paper on the background and then stamped over with the flourish in black ink. The chandelier and wording were also stamped onto another piece of scrap paper. What a great way to use up all those bits and pieces you have left over!
Santa card
This card is for the Anything Goes challenge on Craft Swap Forum - the theme is Santa. For the background I tried out an idea that was featured in the December Craft Stamper magazine, to create a Christmas 'masterboard'. I finally got to use one of the chipboard frames from Crafty Individuals at last - and I have embossed it with gold uttee. The picture of Santa is also from some Crafty Individuals paper.
