4x4 Challenge

The theme this week on the 4x4 Friday blog was to incorporate a ticket of some sorts. Here is my effort, using stamps by Paper Artsy, Crafty Individuals and Royal & Langnickel.

Make a Moo or Two - Mother's Day

These are my moos for this week's challenge on the Make a Moo or Two blog - to celebrate Mother's Day. I've used an inked and stamped background and then added some lovely images of children by Paper Whimsy, some lace and a sticker or two.

A Moo Tag

I made this tag for the Tag You're It! challenge this week - to make a tag with a moo. I've used my usual favourite Distress Inks in Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans and the stamps are by Paper Artsy and Judikins.

Make a Moo Challenge

Another challenge this week by Make a Moo or Two where the theme was GOLD. I chose to make mine with an Oriental theme.

The Artistic Stamper Challenge

The May challenge by The Artistic Stamper (see right for link) is on the theme of the garden. I decided to make two items: a card and a gothic arch. For the card I used a lovely agapanthus stamp by Stampendous which was inked and then spritzed lightly with water before stamping onto watercolour paper, and then overstamped with the quote by PSX. The arch has a background created with various dye inks and then stamped with Laura Ashley stamps and embossed in gold. The garden gate image is by Paper Whimsy, the winged girl is a Tim Holtz stamp. I stamped a tiny quote onto the front of the gate but it does not show up very well in the scan - it reads 'Friends are flowers in the garden of life'.

Brayered card

I dug my brayer out at the weekend to make this card - I haven't used it for ages and had forgotten how much I enjoyed using it! The background paper on the card was brayered over randomly with a Kaleidacolor rainbow inkpad (Riviera), the main image (stamp by Paperbag Studios) was stamped onto glossy card, then brayered over with the same ink. The grungeboard flourish was sprayed with Adirondack Color Washes in Denim and Lettuce.

CSF ATC Challenge week 106

I was invited to set Florrie's weekly challenge this week on Craft Swap Forum and I chose 'Geometric Shapes'. Here is the ATC I have made for the challenge - as I have been making triangular cards this week I decided to stick with the theme! The backgrounds were created with a mixture of Distress Inks and Ranger Colorwashes and then stamped over using rubber stamps by Hero Arts and Stampers Anonymous. I decided to add a smaller, inverted triangle on top - this was stamped with one of the new Laura Ashley range of clear stamps. I must confess that I have really enjoyed making triangles! It is a smaller area to work on but you can have things hanging over the edge and still keep within the regulation ATC size. I made the two Inchies with bits left over.
