RSS Week 3

Well it's the third week of the Ready-Steady-STAMP! challenge and another great one! I thought I had some sheets of thin cork somewhere but I'm not sure where I've hidden it! Then I remembered that I had some cork keys and also some of Tim Holtz's metal key holes, so voila! It also gave me the opportunity of trying out the 'cuttle wax' technique for the first time. The Rome stamp is by Crafty Individuals.

U for...

... UMBRELLA. Well mine has certainly had a lot of use lately! On this card for the Alphabet Challenge Blog I have used gesso and distress inks on the background panel, and the main image is a stamp by Katzelkraft.

T for...

... The Three Graces and Textured Pearls technique! Another card for the Alphabet Challenge Blog - I have tried out the Textured Pearls technique for the background, using tissue paper and mica powders.

African sunset

A rather grandiose title for such a little inchy! The challenge theme this week on the Inchybyinch blog is trees - the only stamp I have with a tree small enough to fit onto an inchy is this one, part of an African theme cube by Judikins. I added rub-on wording at the bottom.

Ready Steady STAMP! challenge 2

This is my effort for the second challenge by Ready-Steady-STAMP!. I decided to make a triangular shaped card, and I created the background with acrylic paints. There is a strip of acetate which I embossed in a Cuttlebug folder behind the sun (you can just make it out in the scan), and the sun stamp is by Viva Las Vegastamps. I was debating how to attach some ribbon when I came across this star ribbon and so decided to add that along the bottom.

S for...

... Seeing within. I wanted to use some more of my new Paperbag Studio stamps, so made this card with them and decided it would be OK for this week's challenge on the Alphabet Challenge Blog. No matter how hard I try, and even using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I always seem to get lines of wording wonky!! I think I'll have to stamp them on a separate piece of card in future.
