Ready-Steady-STAMP! week 16

I can't believe that we are on week 16 of the Ready-Steady-STAMP! challenge already! Even though I love making cards, I really felt like doing something different this time, so decided to make an ATC. I have used an ATC sized piece of foam board for the base which I coloured with dye inks and then overstamped with a crackle stamp. I used the shrine stamp for my 'frame', and added punched flowers. It's the first time I've used foam core board and it is incredibly light - great for keeping postal costs down!!

...FLIGHT. Another week and another letter in the Inchybyinch alphabet challenge!

RSS Challenge

Here is my effort for the latest Ready-Steady-STAMP! challenge. This time the five ingredients were: the letter D; green, pink and white; buttons; a real stitched circle; and felt. I must admit that I am not very talented with a needle and thread, but I have done my best!

'Sing' card

I've just bought one of the new cling stamps by Hero Arts and made this card with it - it is called Dandelion Frame. I used various Distress inks on the stamp and spritzed lightly with water before stamping. The bird is by Katzelkraft and I have stamped and embossed this with clear ep. I loved this stamp as soon as I saw it and just had to buy it!!

Stampotique challenge

Stampotique have just started a new challenge: Stampotique Designers Challenge. The theme of the first one is 'Love' and I have used the only Stampotique stamp I have - Arty by Janet Klein. I've used lots of other stamps on this card too, and the background was created using Glimmer Mist sprays. When it had dried, I noticed that a puddle in the red area had dried in a heart shape, so decided to use that for Arty's dress - a little bit of serendipity!

D for....

... dog! Here is my inchy for the alphabet challenge on the Inchybyinch blog.
Following comments I thought I would just clarify: the 'D' stamp is one I bought years ago - I bought one or two a week until I had the whole alphabet (they are all 1 inch square which is very useful for this challenge). The little dog is from another stamp which is actually him (or her) peeping out of a gift box - but just the right size for this inchy.

RSS Challenge 14

I must confess that when I read the ingredients for this challenge I thought it would be rather difficult! However, it proved to be far simpler that I imagined. First of all, the latest edition of Craft Stamper magazine was delivered on Saturday with this wonderful free stamp designed by Art Journey. Then I started to rummage through my stash to find some funky foam and craft metal - I know I've got some somewhere but probably buried under loads of other stuff - and my search unearthed a yellow die-cut wavy border in funky foam and a filigree metal flower embellishment. I stamped the image three times in different green inks and Brilliance Cosmic Copper, coloured the funky foam border with Copic markers, and heat embossed the metal flower with copper embossing powder. The other stamps I've used are by Stampin' Up.
