A card made for the latest Ready-Steady-STAMP! challenge. The background has been sponged with Distress Inks in Dusty Concord and Bundled Sage, then stamped with a flower stamp (by Tanda) also in Dusty Concord. Then I spread a very thin layer of gesso over, which has softened and toned it down. When it was dry, I stamped the flourish (by Stampin' Up) in black around the edges. The main image is a lovely new stamp by Crafty Individuals which I have stamped on a background of Dusty Concord and Victorian Velvet inks. The flower stamp is by ISC. I added the little 'memories' word (Tim Holtz), a couple of punched leaves and a grungeboard flourish that I had sprayed with Purple Pansy Glimmermist. The only way I could think of to use rubber was in the centre of the flowers - so I punched little circles from some excess rubber trimmed from a sheet of unmounted stamps!
The latest theme on the Stampotique Designers Challenge is 'It's a Girl Thing'. I had a vague idea what I was going to do and was browsing through my stamps for one in particular when this one, by Rubber Romance, came to hand and I decided that this would be even better! I had already decided to use pink and this stamp calls out for brown as well - two colours I love together. The flower stamp is a Craft Stamper freebie and the words are from a Hero Arts stamp.
Here is my entry for the latest Ready-Steady-STAMP! challenge, on the theme of the sea. I have recently bought this little wooden mini tray from Crafty Individuals and thought it would be ideal to use for this one. I painted the tray with acrylic paint before adding stamped images with foam pads and silicone glue. I have used all the ingredients except one - an oval.
I've just been away for a lovely week at Knuston Hall in Northamptonshire on a calligraphy course. Here is a wedding card I made while I was there, including some of my calligraphy!
Three little houses made for the latest house swap on Craftswap Forum - the theme this time is 'greenhouses'. The houses have to be green and include flowers. I have used various stamps on these, including the lovely tree on the middle one which is by Crafty Individuals.
